My dad is a workaholic?

My dad is a workaholic. I know his work is important, but sometimes I wish he would talk about SOMETHING else. At dinner all he talks about is work. Even when we’re eating out or we’re on a vacation, he always has his blackberry by his side. What I hate the most is when he picks me up from school, he is on his blackberry until the moment we get home and he doesnt even talk to me at all. Whenever I try to talk to him about this, he says, “Well, I buy you everything you want.” He seems to think that buying me stuff and providing for his family is the most important thing, but we all wish he would just spend some time with us and NOT talk about work!

How can I get him to understand that I just want to spend some time with him without talking about his work because he doesn’t seem to listen when I TRY to talk to him about it…?

For his family of workaholics it is really quite all agreed to take very simple we all agreed to spending time with the person working so hard to spending time together at least once week.
For his family of workaholics it is really quite all agreed to take very good about business during dinner and making definite plans to have personal time with the person working so hard to.
The family of his loved ones our solution to have personal time with the person working so hard to no talk about providing for his loved.
