Book With Workaholic Female Character?

Urban fantasy is my favorite, but any genre will do if there’s interesting character development. Dark is good and so is humor, but nothing too melodramatic or silly. I don’t mind stories with gay characters (especially if they’re male.)
Please, something not cliche!
On a side note, for whatever reason, I really like stories that say what the characters eat. Or maybe I just really like food.
