How do you convince a workaholic to take a day off?

My husband hasn’t missed a day of work in over 18 months. We have a major snowstorm in NE Ohio and I asked him not to go into work because of the unsafe roads. He still insisted on going into work. He hasn’t taken a personal day or vacation day since September 2008. How can I convince him that he needs some personal time off of work. He is in mid-management and is a chemist.
