Should I try to date a workaholic or give up?

Three weeks ago I met a guy who under the extreme influence of alocohol told me he was falling for me the same night I met him. The next day we hung out while sober and he still seemed to like me but his feelings were not as intense as the day before. He told me the night we met that he worked a lot, and now he very rarely calls and doesn’t seem to care about hanging out, bc he says he’s so busy at work. He works everyday for at least 8 hours. At this early stage is it reasonable for such little contact. Is he really just a workaholic and I should be patient, or is he just not that into me and I should give up?

Am I ambitious or workaholic?

Jane Marple asked:

I use to justify my behavior by saying I’m just ambitious but now i’m starting to doubt my reasoning.

1. I work 50 hrs a week
2. I get very antousiastic when I talk about my work
3. I can not take a day off or a vacation without feeling guilty
4. I think the world will stop turning if I’m not at the office
5. I eat at my desk while working
6. I think about work while showering, shopping and in bed
7. I fear weekends…to me they are boring and a waste of time
8. It’s been like that for 3 years (i’m divorced)

I have a week of vacation scheduled for next week and I am stressing over not being at the office.

What in the world can I do to stop that non sense?

ecrackpics asked:

Why do women want to marry a rich guy and them complain that thier marriage sucks, because most of the time if you marry a Lawyer, doctor or any high salary job then this person will morer than likely be a workaholic or never be home. Is there something out there that makes them think it will be different form them or do they just not care and are money hungry?

ViA asked:

He’s a Neuro-Surgeon and Cardio Vascular Specialist and works sixty hours to seventy hours a week, not to mention most weekends, which does not leave much time for me and the kids. When I complain, he argues that he’s doing this for us and I’m being ungrateful. I would admit, we have a very luxurious lifestyle and everything. The only thing missing is him. How can I convince him to pay attention to us?

Is there a problem with working the majority of the week? I enjoy what I do and wondered if I am spending too much focus on this aspect of my life? What is a good, healthy ratio of relaxation to work?

Hard worker VS. workaholic. Why might YOU like to be described by one term but not the other? ?

Denotation refers to the dictionary definition of a word, whereas connotation involves the associations that accompany it. Consider these groups of words smiliar denotations but varying connotations.

I am SO CURIOUS to hear what you guys have to say!!!
