I work for a woman who is much younger and much less experienced than the people she supervises. Instead of realizing that others have good ideas, too, she spends her time creating unnecessary jobs for all of us and then leaves us with her “orphans”. We already have big jobs to do as it is. She doesn’t listen to anyone and is a complete know-it-all. She is very bright, but thinks she’s the only one with decent ideas. I used to think that such arrogance was a cover-up for low self esteem, but in her case, it truly seems she actually believes she is better and smarter than everyone else. She works as a school administrator, has no children of her own and is still very new to her job. She alienates people like crazy, but no one is brave enough to give her feedback on what she does, as she is our boss. Any ideas as to what motivates her or how to give her feedback? Oh, she is a complete workaholic putting in least 12 hour days, sometimes more, seven days a week.
